Award Season

The mentally ill have more power than I'd previously imagined.

I've been nominated for Best Overall Blog by what I assume are well-intentioned alcoholics over at the BoB awards.  So you should go vote for me, or possibly Greg, as we both deserve all of the cheap whores and free OxyContin that go along with major blog award recognition.  If you are looking for reasons why you should vote for me, look no further than the contest rules, wherein the organizers state, "Consider casting nominations for lesser-known blogs, instead of offering "obvious" picks."  I would contend there is no less obvious pick than me, or possibly Greg, as we only write blogs for the pleasure or making you, the reader, happy.  And also for the whores and OxyContin, as previously explained.

So go vote now!  Don't wait and think you'll do it later, because you won't.  Let's face it, you're basically lazy and you have an unappealing odor.  And don't let the fact that I'm probably NOT the Best Overall Blog prevent you from voting for me.  That kind of thinking is for the weak.  And you're not weak.  Lazy and smelly and probably gender-confused, yes, but not weak.  Don't let me down.

You or Greg. You or Greg. Hard decision. I like you, but Greg, I don't know, he's MUCH cuter! I think I'll have to flip a coin.

Done...but I admit to being taken aback by the shitty 4.81% you have garnered so far. I would have thought you'd at least be at 4.95%.

I have 6 more email addresses with which to vote...but somehow don't think it will help your sagging numbers.

You were up to almost 7% when I voted. Greg was at about 16%. I guess I should've done the good ol' American thing and "denied" voting for you and switched my vote to Greg. Because everyone loves a winner (unless that winner is you, of course).

First, John Kerry and now you; I can't seem to back a winner. I suppose you were for linking to those pictures of Natalie Portman before you were against it.

You know the ones I mean. Don't pretend.

done.

i'll be expecting a cut of the drugs and whores of course.

don't ask me to choose between you and greg...

Would you mind terribly letting us first read the Acceptance Speech? You see, in the past I have rooted for people who then went on to give egregious acceptance speeches that made me hurl and shout "you lame-o idiot I can't BELIEVE I voted for you." I'm fairly certain you won't fall into that category and I would like to vote for you (though I am a bit torn between you and Greg), but I'm just saying . . .

I voted for you. You must return the favour...

Oh what a great find your site was! I was looking for a few more witty men to join my Eclectic DinnerParty List and you are now there. You don't mind if Greg sits across the table do you? ~Grins

I've voted for you several times now. I love your writing. You always make me smile.

~you got my vote today...now how about you swing one my way...~

i'm going to write a program that will stuff the ballot box for you. how about that? hmm? what kind of friend am i?
